Why is VyprVPN charging me $1 (€1)?

When you create a new VyprVPN account using a credit card as your payment method, you may see a single, one-time $1 (or 1 euro) authorization hold on your credit card statement from Golden Frog to validate the card.

Please note, this authorization hold is not an actual charge to the payment method and will not be debited, deposited, or collected. You will see this authorization charge automatically void and drop off your card statement.

The duration for which an authorization hold remains on the card varies by the issuer. If you have any further questions regarding the hold, you may contact your card issuer or financial institution.
